Easter brings us many reasons to celebrate, including family gatherings, egg hunts, and, of course, delicious treats like Peeps. But what about our four-legged friends? While traditional Peeps aren’t exactly pup-friendly, there’s a way to include your furry companion in the festivities with homemade, dog-safe Peeps.
Not only are these festive treats adorable, but they’re also packed with wholesome ingredients that your pup will love. This guide will show you how to make healthy, frozen Peeps treats for your dog this Easter.

This year, I used some slightly larger molds on Amazon shaped like Easter lambs! I’ll be using them to make special treats for the family dogs joining us this Easter, along with their humans! What Are Dog-Friendly Peeps?
Dog-friendly Peeps are a fun, healthy twist on the sugary marshmallow treats we humans know and love. These treats use natural ingredients like strawberries, Greek yogurt, and peanut butter, so your dog can enjoy a flavorful Easter snack without any harmful additives.
Unlike traditional Peeps, these require no baking and use freezer molds to create adorable bunny-shaped snacks. They’re fresh, easy, and sure to have your pup wagging their tail with joy.
Before you get started, make sure you have these simple ingredients and tools on hand.
Ingredients:
- 1.5 cups of frozen strawberries: Packed with vitamins and antioxidants.
- 1 tablespoon of peanut butter (Make sure it is xylitol-free, opt for organic with just peanuts and no added oils and sweeteners): Adds a nutty flavor dogs love.
- 1/4 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt: A great source of protein and probiotics.
- 2/3 cup of water: To adjust the texture.
- Blackberry jam (optional) for decoration. *Be sure it is not made with a mix using grape concentrate or any grape products!*
Tools:
Silicone bunny molds: The classic Peep shape mold pictured to the left and other Easter-shaped options can be found here on Amazon: Click to be redirected).
Blender: To mix all ingredients into a smooth consistency. In my videos for this recipe, I use my Ninja blender: https://amzn.to/3G58R1g

Why Are These Ingredients Healthy for Dogs?
All the ingredients in these homemade treats were chosen with your pet’s health in mind:
- Strawberries provide vitamin C and fiber, helping with digestion and immune health.
- Peanut butter is a tasty protein source, as long as it’s free of xylitol, which is toxic to dogs.
- Greek yogurt contributes probiotics for gut health and a creamy texture dogs adore.
- Blackberry jam (optional) is a low-sugar way to add decorative details safely.
Now, onto the fun part—making the treats!
