Easter Peep Treats for Dogs

Include your pup in the Easter fun with these healthy, homemade Peeps for dogs. Easy, dog-safe, and paw-sitively delicious!

Ingredients

    • 1.5 cups of frozen strawberries: Packed with vitamins and antioxidants.

    • 1 tablespoon of peanut butter (Make sure it is xylitol-free, opt for organic with just peanuts and no added oils and sweeteners): Adds a nutty flavor dogs love.

    • 1/4 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt: A great source of protein and probiotics.

    • 2/3 cup of water: To adjust the texture.

    • Blackberry jam (optional) for decoration. *Be sure it is not made with a mix using grape concentrate or any grape products!*

Instructions

  1. Blend the Base Mixture
      • Combine the frozen strawberries, peanut butter, yogurt, and water in the blender.
      • Blend until the mixture is smooth and runny, resembling the consistency of a smoothie.
  1. Fill the Bunny Molds
      • Pour the blended mixture into your bunny-shaped silicone molds. Be careful not to overfill!
      • Lightly tap the mold on your counter to remove any air bubbles and evenly distribute the mixture.
  1. Freeze the Treats
      • Place the filled molds in the freezer and leave for 1-3 hours, or until the mixture is completely solid.
  1. Optional Decoration
      • Use a toothpick dipped in blackberry jam to add eyes and a nose to each bunny.
      • If the jam spreads too much, freeze the treats again briefly to set the details.
  1. Serve and Enjoy
      • Once frozen, pop the treats out of the molds and serve. Your pup is in for an Easter delight!

Storage Tips:

Store the Peeps in an airtight container in the freezer. They’ll stay good for up to two weeks.

Notes

  • Blender: To mix all ingredients into a smooth consistency. In my videos for this recipe, I use my Ninja blender: https://amzn.to/3G58R1g
  • Silicone bunny molds: For that classic Peep shape (you can find peeps and other Easter-shaped options here).
  • The mini Peep molds are frequently sold out online, so i’m adding the link to this comparable silicone bunny mold on Amazon: https://amzn.to/42z1ve0
