INSTANT POT 101-CLEANING THE HARD TO REACH AREAS!

BEHOLD THE POWER OF A 1″ FOAM BRUSH!!!….

Of course it’s on Amazon Prime but also in most craft stores and Target…keep in mind, while it’s the #1 cleaning tool for the IP (slight exaggeration) it is NOT found in the cleaning departments lol check the arts & crafts! Face palm At least it won’t be in that aisle until this secret is out!

Confession: I purchased bucketloads of these before sharing this post! JUST KIDDING. MAYBE.

The best way to clean the ledge of all sized Instant Pots – its flexible and squishy to it fits in small spaces but holds up the larger areas of the wrap around gutters.

I have found that the 1” foam brush is the absolute perfect size for this.

I keep one on the side of the sink with my other sponges and brushes –  and a jar of dry ones, of course.

The dry ones work perfectly for juice spill over –  chili, broth, starchy water…all of those spits of juices around the ledge are easily soaked up with these dry brushes.  If the foam brush becomes saturated, use a paper towel wrapped around it to wring out the excess liquid and continue.

Use soapy water to clean around the edge AND IT CLEANS THE HARD TO REACH PIN.  Then you can air dry or soak it up with a clean dry brush.

For the drop pressure pin – give a light push on the pin from the outside of the lid (it takes slightly more pressure than a gentle breeze to push the pin).  This will allow you to clean under the pin where food collects with a simple swipe of the foam brush.  Again, the 1″ brush fits beautifully.

1 MINUTE VIDEO TO SHOW WHAT THIS BRUSH CAN DO!

YOU CAN FIND THESE IN THE SCHOOL/CRAFTS/CRAFT PAINTING AREA IN MOST BIG DEPARTMENT STORES AND CRAFT STORES, BUT OF COURSE ITS ALSO AVAILABLE ON AMAZON, WHERE I GET THEM IN BULK:

I PREFER THIS BRAND, THEY HOLD UP WELL AND PRICED RIGHT.
