If you’re like me, you’re constantly searching for elegant and uncomplicated home decor projects that add a touch of sophistication without overwhelming your space with clutter. This summer, bring a touch of farmhouse-inspired patriotism to your home with this DIY piece!
To begin this project, you’ll need mason jars or similar containers. While I opted for the faded, transparent blue jars, a clear option would work just as well and still create a stunning finished product. For larger mantels and islands, I would use the large 32oz or 16 oz jars. You can also make a smaller version for countertops and smaller surfaces using the 8 oz jars and cut the hydrangea stems to fit.

Already have mason jars around the house that you want to up-cycle for this project? Try painting them for a more rustic look. I use chalk paint on mason jars. If you want to add a distressed look, simply use fine grit sand paper to chip the paint in areas.
For the floral pieces, I suggest white hydrangeas, Chrysanthemum ball, or snowball viburnum. You can find the faux versions, that will last year after year, on Amazon. Click on the flower of choice to be directed to the product on Amazon.
Patriotic flags can be found in almost any department store during the summer, but here is the direct Amazon link to a package of ones that will fit perfectly in these centerpieces: https://amzn.to/3CVrNdQ
