With fourth of July less than 48 hours away, I want to share my favorite, family-friendly Pinterest finds for this holiday weekend!
I know that most of us are experiencing a very different way of celebrating holidays, this year, but I hope that you still take the time to make each one special – even if it is distantly.
These recipes and DIY shy away from the traditional ones. So get ready to explore some new & exciting ideas!
Happy & Safe Independence day, from my family to yours!

The Sweet Treats:
First, I want to start with this amazing flag pie! We’ve all seen and/or made different variations of flag pies & cakes, but this is a super easy version that I just couldn’t pass pinning for later. In this recipe, she uses a shortcut method with pre-made sugar cookie dough- I would love to try it with a homemade shortbread base.
Maybe by Labor Day, I’ll get around to it!

I absolutely love this idea for safety! Keep little ones’ hands away from the sparkler (and gives them a little courage to hold it). I always buy the extra long ones, as well. ![]()
I love the idea of lining a walkway or deck with these flag mason jar luminaries. With kids, I would sub led lights for the candle. Click on the link below the picture for the step by step guide to making these- super easy!![]()
